Language Training

SMG Languages meets its clients’ training needs by developing customized language programs. Courses are available for both small groups and individuals, with one-to-one lessons particularly well suited to specialist language training and conversation practice. For clients with busy schedules, SMG also offers lessons via videoconference, eliminating the need to travel.

Beginner courses

An introduction to the language designed to enable learners to handle simple everyday situations, such as introducing themselves, asking for and providing information, and writing simple personal messages.

Intermediate courses

Building on the skills acquired at beginner level, these courses introduce more complex aspects of grammar and style and develop a vocabulary of approximately 4,000–5,000 words.

Advanced courses

Designed to develop a high level of language proficiency and the ability to communicate effectively in complex social and professional situations. Learners develop the confidence to express themselves fluently, deal with a wide range of topics and situations, understand different types of written material, and produce complex texts.

Sector-specific Courses

Programs specifically designed for businesses and professionals who wish to learn the terminology and language used in particular sectors. Depending on the client’s requirements, SMG can also provide detailed course materials and specialist glossaries in a range of formats.
