Hostesses and Stewards

These different types of services are available:

• Hostesses/stewards without foreign-language skills: these personnel are responsible for assisting clients and suppliers in situations where knowledge of a foreign language is not required, for example, for promotional activities in showrooms or welcoming participants to a national conference.
• Bilingual or trilingual hostesses/stewards (with one or two foreign languages, respectively): for multilingual reception assignments, assistance at showrooms and conferences, and language support at your booth during an international trade show;
• Hostesses/stewards with more than two foreign languages: an effective solution for language support in dealings with multiple international contacts;
• Liaison interpreters: personnel specializing in language support and business and legal negotiations. While a hostess/steward handles communication on non-specialist matters (welcoming foreign contacts, registering their details, and presenting a product on the basis of the information provided), the liaison interpreter is specifically responsible for interpreting technical discussions;
• Foreign-language correspondents for business relations: SMG provides translators and interpreters on an ongoing basis, helping to manage day-to-day business relations with clients and foreign suppliers.
